NORTH CANTON, Ohio - Last weekend's Dunk4Diabetes Shootout featured several outstanding basketball games but perhaps the best was the thriller between Canton Timken and Cleveland St. Ignatius on Sunday. A late surge fueled by some suffocating defense and hot shooting gave Timken a 62-60 win. The Trojans had trailed by double figures heading into the fourth quarter.
Randee Reed's layup with just a few seconds left broke the tie to give the Trojans the thrilling victory as a half court shot by St. Ignatius was off at the buzzer. Sophomore Lepear Toles led Timken with 27 points. St. Ignatius was led by Deven Stover who dropped 26 for the Wildcats.
