DAYTON, Ohio - Friday's night cap at the 12th annual Flyin' to the Hoop had plenty of star power, particularly on the Findlay Prep side and that star power would shine through as Findlay Prep pulled away from Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne for a 56-44 victory.
Wayne put up a strong fight early, but a 15-8 edge in the second quarter gave Findlay Prep some breathing room and then a strong 17-11 finish put things away. Findlay Prep guard and Kansas commit Kelly Oubre led all scorers with 14 points, Arizona pledge Craig Victor chipped in with 12 and super sophomore Justin Jackson added 11 points. Class of 2015 forward Horace Spencer added nine points and a thunderous one-handed put back dunk.
For Wayne, junior forward Ahmad Wagner and junior guard D'Mitrick Trice led the way with 11 points each. The Warriors also got 10 points out of junior Xeyrius Williams.
