Video: Bess leads Gahanna past Fairmont

DAYTON, Ohio - Michigan State commit Javon Bess (No. 1 in blue) stole the show on Saturday at the Flyin' to the Hoop Invitational at Kettering Fairmont High School. The Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln product dropped 30 points on a highly efficient 10-for-15 from the floor to lead his Lions team past the host Fairmont Firebirds by the score of 65-57.
Bess showed a tremendous all-around game, scoring at the rim, while also hitting 3-for-5 from three-point range. He added nine rebounds and five steals as well, putting in one of the top all around efforts of the four-day event.
Bess was the only Lincoln player in double figures, sophomore center Nick Ward added eight points and senior guard Manny Powell also chipped in eight for the Lions. For Fairmont, Kei'vante Tanner and Jacob Maloney led the way with 14 points each and Ben VanOss added 13 for the Firebirds.
