CLEVELAND, Ohio - Villa Angela-St. Joseph is loaded for a run at Ohio's Division IV basketball championship this month and got things off to a strong start on Friday night with a 113-42 win over Open Door Christian in VASJ's first playoff game.
Leading the way for the Vikings was super sophomore forward Carlton Bragg. Bragg dropped 20 points, including 3-for-4 shooting from three-point range and a series of highlight reel dunks. Bragg holds early offers from schools such as Ohio State, Illinois, and West Virginia and is reporting recent interest from Kansas and Kentucky.
Also providing plenty of excitement was senior forward Demonte Flannigan, a Cleveland State commit. Flannigan chipped in with 15 points, including a thunderous finish to an alley oop on the break.
