The Pickerington (Ohio) Central football program is loaded with talented prospects and class of 2019 speedster Terry Simuel is beginning to emerge as one to watch. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound receiver caught a 26-yard touchdown pass in Friday's 43-21 win over Reynoldsburg.

"It was a great win," said Simuel. "I knew it was going to be a fight throughout the whole game and I just want to thank my team."

Simuel was a freshman contributor on the varsity last fall for Central but he is an even bigger piece to the puzzle this fall for the Tigers. But the expanded role hasn't gone to his head, he remains humble.

"I'm just here to play my part," he said. "Everything the coach asks me to do, I'm going to do it."

Simuel's speed gives him an important role in the Central offense as he can stretch the field both vertically and horizontally. That speed has also served him well on the track where he was a regional qualifier last spring as a freshman.

"I went 48.75 at regionals in the 400 (as a freshman)," Simuel explained. "My best 200 is a 22.3. We won the state championship in the 4 x 400."

It should come as no surprise then, that Simuel likes to watch spread offense attacks as he his speed is a good fit. One ACC program has taken notice so far.

"Nothing major yet," Simuel said as far as college interest. "I've talked to Duke a little bit. I like to watch Louisville, I'm a big Lamar Jackson fan. Oregon is probably my favorite team but I just like to watch football."
