Offers still coming for Taylor

Despite a broken foot that cost him just about all of his junior season, class of 2018 Hilliard (Ohio) Bradley wide receiver Kory Taylor continues to rack up offers. Taylor added an offer from Louisville on Friday night, his 15th, and will visit Michigan State this weekend.

Louisville should be a serious factor moving forward. Rutgers also gets plenty of mention from Taylor. The Scarlet Knights landed his teammate in 2017, defensive lineman Brendan Bordner.

The 6-foot-5, three-star prospect could see even more good news come his way this spring and summer as he shows he is fully healthy in camp settings.

Sleeper watch

There were a handful of prospects on hand that do not currently hold Division I offers, but probably should and will likely see their stock rise this spring and summer on the camp circuit as they get in front of college coaches.

- Class of 2018 Pickerington (Ohio) North wide receiver Ty Wiley impressed with his quickness and ball skills, coming off a 900-yard season for the Panthers as a junior. Wiley's quickness, competitiveness, and aggressiveness would also make him an intriguing defensive back prospect.

- Class of 2018 Pickerington (Ohio) Central offensive lineman Trey Madison started at right tackle for the Tigers this fall but will likely be a guard at the college level. Madison has reshaped his body over the past year, and though he is still working on that front, he was incredibly light on his feet during drills and 1-on-1's and even in a camp setting, he competed with an edge and the opposing defensive linemen couldn't get around him.

Madison is hearing from a few MAC schools and certainly has the look of a Division I offensive guard. He may see time this fall at defensive tackle as well, where he would make an interesting one-tech prospect.

- How a wide receiver at a big school can go for more than 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior and be almost completely off the radar of college programs is very curious, but that is the case for class of 2018 Hilliard (Ohio) Bradley receiver Daevon Anderson.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound receiver was arguably the most impressive prospect working out on Friday night. Anderson, who also runs track where he was a regional qualifier in the hurdles and long jump, can absolutely glide and showed tremendous top end speed and ball skills.

Anderson came out of nowhere this past fall for his big season and did not camp anywhere as a sophomore. If he gets in front of college coaches this summer, he could blow up.

Forrest looks ready to go

Class of 2017 Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge defensive back Darrick Forrest looks ready to go once he arrives at Cincinnati this summer. Forrest was on hand to get some extra work in as he prepares to leave for college in a couple of months. Always a competitor, Forrest has added at least few pounds of muscle since the football season ended and looks like he could be ready to contribute, at least on special teams, this fall for the Bearcats.

News and notes

- Class of 2018 quarterback Josh Stewart transferred to Hilliard Bradley from Worthington Kilbourne and will help the Jaguars reload after starting quarterback Will Phillis has moved on to Kent State. Stewart has good size at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds and showed good touch on his deep ball Friday night. With Daevon Anderson and Kory Taylor back, this could be one of the more explosive offenses in Ohio.

-Class of 2019 Whitehall-Yearling linebacker Keon Freeman impressed in coverage and with his compete level. He could be a prospect to watch this fall.

- Class of 2020 Dublin (Ohio) Coffman WR/RB Mike Drennen continues to impress. Drennen has wide receivers skills and made his first impact for Coffman at that position last fall as a rare freshman starter. But he is also a natural running back with excellent burst and fluidity. He'll be active on the college camp circuit this fall, likely stopping at Ohio State and Tennessee among others and is a definite prospect on the rise in Ohio.
