DAYTON, Ohio - The Columbus (Ohio) Northland basketball program is no stranger to big games. The Vikings typically play a national level schedule and the program is a staple of the Ohio high school playoffs. On Saturday, Northland once again proved its merit against national competition with a win over nationally ranked, albeit shorthanded, Roselle (N.J.) Catholic by the score of 49-42.
The game was among the headliners of a loaded Saturday slate at the Flyin' to the Hoop Invitational at Kettering Fairmont High School. Roselle Catholic was playing without super junior guard Isaiah Briscoe. It was the last day of the 30 days he must sit out after transferring in.
