Interest picking up for Madison

One of the more underrated prospects right now in Ohio is class of 2018 Pickerington Central offensive lineman Trey Madison. The 6-foot-3, 320-pound prospect was a top performer recently at the Skill Development U. showcase in Hilliard (Ohio) showing quick feet and a competitive streak.

Madison is waiting for his first offer right now, but has been picking up interest from a couple of MAC programs this off-season.

"I went to a spring practice at Akron and a Junior Day at Ohio U.," said Madison. "I liked Akron, the coaches were really cool. OU had a nice facility too."

Madison's versatility should serve him well in his recruiting process. He played guard as a sophomore at Pickerington North before starting at right tackle for Pickerington Central this past fall. Some schools have suggested a move to center could be possible at the college level. Either way, Madison is ready to prove himself this summer at college camps.

"Schools have been telling me to come to camp in the summer and then we'll see what happens," he said.

Louisville is another program that has recently started kicking the tires on Madison. Likely an interior line prospect at the next level, he broke down where his game is at right now.

"I think I'm really physical," he said. "I'm working on improving my footwork, getting my body right."

Madison is optimistic that a big senior season is in store for both himself and his teammates at Central.

"We have the whole starting offensive line coming back," he said. "We should be in good shape."
