Kierre Hawkins, Ohio State commit, class of 2016: "It's a great thing to say about the state of Ohio: we won a national championship and proving everyone wrong… it's just an honor to be under the greatest coach in college football."

Zach Sandwisch, class of 2016: "Well I didn't really care who won as of right now, but it's good for the state of Ohio."

Jordan Overton, class of 2016: "The game was so exciting. Being from Ohio I have always been a fan of the Buckeyes, and since I've known Cardale my entire life, the feeling was unbelievable."

Jonah Morris, class of 2016: "I thought it was a great game, and it definitely was a thrill. I'm from Ohio and to see Ohio State take the first ever playoffs all the way was amazing, especially because they were the underdogs in both of their games. The Buckeyes were always my favorite team growing up, and I think they're a great team with a lot of unity and chemistry around the organization. Glad to see them Ohio boys get the job done."

Ameer Jackson, class of 2016: "I thought that game was amazing. They did something everybody thought they couldn't, even though I had faith in them before it all started. I think that it's a hard fought program that overcame adversity. It also showed that anything is possible and they believe in each other."

Tyrone Chambers, class of 2017: "Well I always thought the buckeyes could win continuously on a big stage like last night. The Buckeyes will always have my vote truly because they are one of the most powerful, destructive teams on the planet. Arguably Ohio State should be number one going into next season because they showed that they could get the job done versus a very good Oregon team who had went 13-2. The Buckeyes will get even stronger and even more confident every time they step on the field. And more credit should be given to the great Cardale Jones."

Jaelen Gill, class of 2018: "I thought they played a great game. They had some unlucky turnovers but I I feel like they played very solid on both ends. After that game last night Ohio State has really impressed me and is really, really my number one choice as of right now if they offer."
