BEDFORD, Ohio - It was a major thriller on Saturday afternoon at Beford High School as Cleveland Benedictine shocked Cleveland Central Catholic by the score of 37-36. After Central Catholic had scored a go ahead touchdown with under 10 seconds remaining, Bengals' sophomore wide receiver Justin Layne returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown as the final seconds ticked off the clock.
Layne had previously put Benedictine ahead with under three minutes to go on a 62-yard touchdown reception and once again came up with a big play when needed. Check out our FREE video above of Layne's game-winning kickoff return.
