The Best of the Midwest Camp last week in Indianapolis showcased some of Ohio's top young talent. Among the underclassmen that impressed was Canton (Ohio) McKinley offensive tackle Charles Turner.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound class of 2019 prospect is an intriguing prospect with a good frame and long arms. He held up well against a solid group of defensive linemen, many were a year older than Turner.

"I think I performed well," said Turner. "There are still some things that I've got to work on. I came out here and competed hard. I'm doing well with my pass pro but I'm still working on that as we speak."

Turner was a sophomore starter at left tackle at Canton McKinley this past fall and has begun to hear from a handful of Division I programs. He is hoping his recruitment will branch out in the coming months.

"I've talked to Toledo, Akron and Syracuse," he said. "I would like to hear from North Carolina, Clemson and more ACC schools."
